Fascinated by the combination of creativity, technology, and communication, I was immediately enthusiastic about the first digital innovations. This early passion and the constant search for new ideas shaped my path to becoming a successful digital strategist.
It all started with my first job as a game tester at Activision (yes, that was already a job back then!). I spent hours poring through pixel adventures until I found every last inconsistency by the 100th replay. But hey, I was a pioneer—the “Indiana Jones” of digital treasure hunting, so to speak!
I went to bars and discos as a promoter. Between clouds of smoke, cocktails, and interesting conversations, I was able to conduct my first field studies in marketing. It was live market research, only with loud music and less analysis, but with the first modem at home.
The kitchen! At the Marché (Mövenpick), I expressed my creativity as a chef with a wooden spoon and spice shaker. It was here that I learned that timing, teamwork, and the right amount of humor (and salt) are crucial—a lesson I still apply today.
At the I.G.D. Institute for Graphic Design—which, by the way, I graduated with honors as a communications designer—I worked at the legendary Ufa-Palast cinema on Gänsemarkt. Between the smell of popcorn and the magic of the big screen, I had the perfect setting to study people, stories, and the power of emotions.
My surname, “Schlichtegroll,” has a long history spanning centuries. Our family story could easily serve as the plot for a Netflix series, from noble roots to curious twists and turns. Perhaps this touch of aristocracy has shaped my love of good style and clear structures—who knows?
Discovering new places, experiencing cultures and broadening my horizons – for me this is not just relaxation, but an indispensable source of creativity and inspiration.
Expanding again and again – this has not only been and continues to be a valuable inspiration and creative enrichment for me, but also a constant source of inspiration for my professional and private journey.
